The inspiration for these Masala Mussels came from Suzanne’s need to curb a craving for a surprising dish she used to enjoy in a café, in the St. Germaine area of Paris. It has since become a firm favourite, both in her house and with everyone who has ever tried it.
Like anything French, this dish is creamy, yet has a distinct “masala” flavour from the mix of spices utilised; a true East meets West dish if there ever was one!
Served simply with some white wine, a baguette and some garlic butter, these mussels are the perfect addition to that romantic evening at home, or just for spoiling yourself.
